What Matters Most

What’s the most important thing a person can have?

Most people are beginning to think that the best thing anyone can acquire is a good heart or happiness. Even though those are important, what matters most are good values.

Please watch this video from Prager University explaining why.

A Good Read

A book that I hope many of you read is called Wealth and Poverty by George Gilder. Gilder’s book makes the case for the system that many are now calling selfish and mean spirited: Capitalism. Gilder first wrote Wealth and Poverty in 1981 and it became the “economics bible” of the Reagan era. He now has a new and improved updated version for the 21st century.

During a time when many are seeing Capitalism as an evil system and are adopting the Leftist approach, there is no better time for people to start reading this book.

The book can be purchased here: http://www.amazon.com/Wealth-Poverty-Edition-Twenty-First-Century/dp/1596988096/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372482733&sr=8-1&keywords=Wealth+and+poverty

The Left’s Attitude Towards Disagreement

The reason why so many people remain on the Left is because of the demonization of the Right as mean-spirited people. People on the Left are taught that to be a Conservative is to be sexist, intolerant, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, racist, and bigoted.

In a previous article, I noted that Leftism is emotion-based. Emotions override the Left’s rationality in every area of policy. Moreover, the takeover of emotions on the Left also has to do with how the Left deals with people they disagree with. Nonetheless, let it be clear that there are both good and bad people on both sides.

There is rarely a time when debating someone on the Left, when he or she is not offended by something you say politically in some way. Whether it has to do with foreign policy or abortion, it seems that if someone disagrees with a Left-wing position, it is somehow hurtful. This plays into the theme of emotions on the Left, where they believe that nobody should be able to say “Merry Christmas” because it may offend a non-Christian. Or when the Left wanted to stop keeping scores of children sports games in…

Fourth of July Declaration

A great way to learn about America and its values is during the Fourth of July! It involves a short ceremony that is designed to help us remember what the Fourth of July is really about, and to remind ourselves how fortunate we all are to be Americans.

We need to teach all Americans how important America is and what its values are.

For more information on the ceremony and to purchase the Fourth of July kit for the ceremony, click on the link above.

Obama: Reduce Nuclear Arms

Obama: Reduce Nuclear Arms

President Obama and the Left want the world to reduce nuclear arms, including America. In fact, they wouldn’t mind a nuclear free world. President Obama spoke about this in Berlin (Link Above).

This type of thinking seems very dangerous and childlike. I do not want America to have no nuclear weapons. In fact, goodness cannot prevail if America is not the strongest country in the world. If you want goodness and peace to prevail in the world, the good have to be stronger that the bad. If this doesn’t happen and America is weakened, the world will be a darker place.

When America is strong, there is less cruelty in the world.
